About Mission: Mahjong!

We're a Las Vegas-based group of mahjong players with a mission to foster community connection by providing a free, welcoming space for others who also want to learn and play mahjong!In partnership wtih the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District, our Sunday community program primarily teaches Chinese, Hong Kong style mahjong, but we also occasionally have American (NMJL), Riichi and Filipino mahjong players and instructors join our events as well! We happily encourage players to learn, share and experience other mahjong styles in our space, and celebrate the cultural history they bring.So whether you're a beginner who wants to learn how to play, an experienced player looking join a few games, or have a group looking for a space to play, we'd love for you to join us!We meet throughout the Las Vegas Valley, with multiple meet-ups every month. Check out our events calendar to see where our next meeting will be!We also offer paid, private instruction and mahjong event planning, the net proceeds of which support Mission: Mahjong!’s free community programming.

Private Instruction

Private lessons are available for individuals and groups of up to 10 participants.

Available styles:
• Chinese/Hong Kong
• American/NMJL
• Japanese/Riichi
• Filipino

Individual instruction (1 person)
$90 per hour.

Groups (2-10 people)
$90 for the first participant, plus $45 per additional participant for 2 hours of instruction.Note: There is an additional $20 surcharge per head for American/NMJL instruction.
Additional Time
Additional hours may be added at 35% of the original 2-hour session total, per hour.Example: A $300 group session would be $105 per additional hour.To book an appointment, please submit an inquiry below, and specify in the subject line: "Mahjong Private Instruction".

• Mahjong tables, sets, and instructional materials are included.
• Venue sourcing can be arranged upon request; all associated rental costs will be billed separately.

For groups of more than 10 participants, we offer customized private event instruction tailored to your group size, experience level, and event goals.To get started, please submit an inquiry below to schedule a brief consultation. We’ll review your event details and provide a tailored quote, including recommended staffing, format, and timing to ensure a smooth and engaging experience.Please specify in the subject line: "Mahjong Event"

Equipment Rental

If you’re looking for mahjong setups without instruction, we’re happy to provide ready-to-play equipment for your event. Just let us know how many tables, sets, and chairs you’ll need.A full mahjong setup - one table, one set, and four chairs, including delivery, setup, and breakdown - is $150 for up to a 4-hour event.Additional time, quantities, or custom requests can be accommodated. Final pricing may vary based on event details such as location, timing, and logistics.Please specify in the subject line: "Mahjong Rental"
