About Mission: Mahjong!
We are a Las Vegas-based group of mahjong players with a mission to foster community connection by providing welcoming spaces for others who also want to learn and play mahjong.In partnership wtih the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District, our Sunday community program primarily teaches Vegas Mahjong, a variation based on Hong Kong style mahjong, but we also occasionally have American, Riichi and Filipino mahjong players join our events as well! We happily encourage players to learn, share and experience other mahjong styles in our space, and celebrate the cultural history they bring.So whether you're a beginner who wants to learn how to play, an experienced player looking join a few games, or have a group looking for a space to play, we'd love for you to join us!Check out our events calendar to see where our next meet-up will be!

FEATURED EVENTS
Instruction on Sundays begin 15 minutes after the start of the library event. No sign-up needed, tables and sets are provided - just walk on in! If you're unable to make it before start of instruction, you're still welcome to join us and watch!
Our regular players are sometimes willing to offer informal instruction as they play. However, this is not guaranteed, so we ask that anybody who comes to watch to please be respectful of mahjong games in progress.
We also meet up at Meepleville Board Game Cafe every 2nd and 4th Friday ($3.00 admission), and continue to look for opportunities to host free or low-cost community mahjong meet-ups throughout the year.

We believe that there should always be opportunities to learn and play Mahjong that are accessible to everybody in the community. We also understand that community events can mean waiting for tables to open up, noisy rooms, or experienced players wanting to play with others similar skill levels.
M:M Private is for players who would like to enjoy a more intimate setting, play with others at their skill level, and know that a seat will be waiting for them when they arrive.Less Noise. More Atmosphere. Pure Mahjong.

For players who already have an understanding of Asian styles of mahjong, there will not be instructional tables, although we'll be happy to answer questions during the evening.Your reservation includes:• Buffet-style dinner (see menu)

Private Instruction
Private lessons are available for individuals and groups of up to 10 participants.
Available styles:
• Chinese/Hong Kong
• American/NMJL
• Japanese/Riichi
• Filipino
Individual instruction (1 person)
$90 per hour.
Groups (2-10 people)
$90 for the first participant, plus $45 per additional participant for 2 hours of instruction.Note: There is an additional $20 surcharge per head for American/NMJL instruction.
Additional Time
Additional hours may be added at 35% of the original 2-hour session total, per hour.Example: A $300 group session would be $105 per additional hour.To book an appointment, please submit an inquiry below, and specify in the subject line: "Mahjong Private Instruction".
• Mahjong tables, sets, and instructional materials are included.
• Venue sourcing can be arranged upon request; all associated rental costs will be billed separately.
Event Planning
For groups of more than 10 participants, we offer customized private event instruction and facilitation tailored to your group size, experience level, and event goals.To get started, please submit an inquiry below to schedule a brief consultation. We’ll review your event details and provide a tailored quote, including recommended staffing, format, and timing to ensure a smooth and engaging experience.Please specify in the subject line: "Mahjong Event"
Equipment Rental
If you’re looking for mahjong setups without instruction, we’re happy to provide ready-to-play equipment for your event. Just let us know how many tables, sets, and chairs you’ll need.A full mahjong setup - one table, one set, and four chairs, including delivery, setup, and breakdown - is $150 for up to a 4-hour event.Additional time, quantities, or custom requests can be accommodated. Final pricing may vary based on event details such as location, timing, and logistics.Please specify in the subject line: "Mahjong Rental"
